Welcome to Unforgettable Nordic, where we don't sell packages, we craft personalized journeys. Our founders, Silvía and Halldór, started this venture out a shared frustration with poorly planned Nordic trips. We focus on creating unique experiences across Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland, ensuring every detail reflects your desires. With no intermediaries we limit our journeys each season to guarantee a truly crafted experience.
Why this service costs what it does
Deep, unrushed planning
Each trip receives weeks of focused attention, research, coordination, route testing, and quality assurance. We don't work from templates.
Direct access to both founders
You work with two experienced professionals who know the region personally. Our time is limited and focused entirely on your journey.
Nothing is outsourced
We don't hand your trip to a DMC, a junior planner, or a subcontracted team. Every booking, route, and recommendation comes directly from Silvía and Halldór.
Concierge-level involvement
From pre-departure briefings to real-time support during your trip, we're involved from first conversation through your return home.
The planning process
Discovery Consultation
A 30–45 minute Zoom call with Silvía and Halldór. We learn about your travel style, priorities, and timing. This is a planning session, not a sales call.
Proposal & Agreement
We present a tailored proposal, scope, timeline, and investment. Once agreed, the design process begins.
Itinerary Design
We build the complete journey: routes, accommodations, experiences, logistics. You receive a detailed draft, followed by 1–2 refinement calls.
Booking & Coordination
All reservations, confirmations, and vendor coordination handled by us. You receive a comprehensive pre-departure briefing.
Your Journey
You travel with full documentation, contingency plans, and direct access to Silvía and Halldór for real-time concierge support.
Silvía Rut Ástvaldsdóttir
Co-Founder
A Nordic wanderer with her roots in Iceland's Eastfjords. Whether she's sourcing farm-fresh dining in Skåne or mapping walking routes through Copenhagen's quieter neighborhoods, Silvía's approach to travel is sensory and personal.
She manages every client relationship from first consultation through post-trip follow-up. Her strength is translating conversations about preferences and priorities into detailed, practical itineraries that feel effortless on the ground.
For Silvía, travel design is about connection, not just to the places you visit, but to the people, traditions, and stories that make them worth experiencing slowly.
Halldór Haraldsson
Co-Founder
Born and raised in Iceland, Halldór's expertise runs deep, road conditions, seasonal access, weather patterns, and the kind of off-route discoveries that only a lifelong local would know.
His role is deeply operational: route design, seasonal timing, logistics coordination, and quality control. He knows which roads close when, which properties deliver on their promise, and which experiences are worth the detour.
For Halldór, every journey should reflect the unique interests and pace of the people taking it. His goal is to make each step of your trip feel considered, safe, well-paced, and genuinely personal.
